  1. 1886Founded at 18 Heriot Row, Edinburgh.
  2. 2015Merged into global law firm Clyde & Co — the residential arm kept the Simpson & Marwick name.
  3. 2020Demerged. The name came home.
  4. 2023The newly formed Simpson and Marwick Group takes the helm.
  5. 2025Returned to legal services — and to Aberdeen, at 20 Rubislaw Terrace.
  6. 2026Celebrating 140 years. The next phase is unwritten — with absolute clarity on the business we want to build.
